Give the Gift of Housing

Housing changes everything — health, stability, opportunity, and hope. But for many of our neighbors, the cost of getting into and staying in a home is the biggest barrier standing in the way.

This gift catalog lets you take action. From opening the door to an apartment, to turning on the lights, to providing the support that helps someone stay housed, each gift represents a real, tangible step toward housing. Some gifts cover a full need. Others help fill the gap. All of them make housing possible.

You don’t have to do it alone. When donors come together, small gifts add up to life-changing impact. Choose the gift that speaks to you, give what feels right, and know that your generosity is helping someone move forward with dignity and stability.

Open the Door

(Application Fees)

Before someone can move into a safe, stable home, they first have to be approved. Application fees, background checks, and administrative costs often stand between a household and even being considered for housing.

  • Typical cost: $50 covers the rental application for one household

  • Recommended gift: $25 covers half the cost of getting someone approved

Your gift helps open the door to opportunity—removing one of the first barriers on the path to housing.

Turn the Lights On

(Utility Deposits)

Turning on the lights, water, and heat is essential to making a house feel like home. Utility deposits are required before move-in and can be an unexpected burden for someone starting over.

  • Typical cost: $250 covers utility deposits for a new unit

  • Recommended gift: $50 helps turn on essential services

Your support ensures a new home is safe, comfortable, and ready from day one.

Illuminated Light Bulb

Power the Program

(Staff Support)

Stable housing doesn’t happen without people. Case managers, housing navigators, and support staff provide hands-on assistance—helping participants find housing, navigate paperwork, access services, and stay housed long-term.

  • Typical cost: $25 supports one hour of direct staff support

  • Recommended gift: $75 (covers three hours of support)

Whether you fund an entire deposit or contribute a portion, your gift helps turn a set of keys into a new beginning.

Teamwork Hands

Promote Stability

(Rental Assistance)

The first few months in housing are critical. Short-to-medium-term rental assistance helps households stay housed while they increase income, access benefits, and regain financial stability.

  • Typical cost: $500 covers one month of rental support

  • Recommended gift: $100 helps offset the cost of keeping someone housed

Your gift provides breathing room when it’s needed most—helping prevent a return to homelessness.

Supportive Hands

Give a Fresh Start

(Security Deposits)

A security deposit is often the single biggest barrier between homelessness and housing. Covering this cost allows a family or individual to secure a lease and take the first step into stability.

  • Typical cost: $1,000 secures a standard security deposit

  • Recommended gift: $250 helps cover a meaningful portion of a deposit

Whether you fund an entire deposit or contribute a portion, your gift helps turn a set of keys into a new beginning.

Fill the Gap

(Give Where Needed Most)

Some needs can’t be predicted. When funding falls short or an unexpected situation arises, this fund allows us to respond quickly and keep housing efforts moving forward.

  • Typical cost: Varies based on need

  • Recommended gift: Any amount helps bridge critical gaps

Your gift helps fill the gaps that could otherwise delay housing, disrupt services, or leave someone without the support they need at a critical moment.
